Julie Weir is a practice management consultant, international speaker and author who specializes in the Business of Dentistry.
Working in dentistry since 1976, Julie has a wealth of proven practical experience and expertise in practice management, financial analysis, business planning and staff management. Julie teaches dental teams to how to find untapped potential and decrease stress by working smarter. She has a successful track record of increasing the profitability, job satisfaction, and the organization of dental practices throughout the United States.
Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The University of Michigan, is an active member of The Academy of Dental Management Consultants, and a Certified DynaMetrics Professional. Her career includes ownership responsibilities in a general dental practice, dental hygiene practice in general dentistry, periodontics and orthodontics, as well as a clinical teaching appointment at The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. In 1995 she founded her own full service management consulting company.
Julie is known for her energetic and entertaining style that motivates dental teams with practical information they relate to. She has spoken for many dental associations around the country and at The National University of Singapore. Julie has been published in numerous dental journals, is the author of the book "10 Steps to a Dental Practice Business Plan" , and "Dentistry Today" has voted her one of their "Leaders in Dental Consulting" for the past two years. She is dedicated to working closely with doctors and staff to improve their lives--professionally, financially and personally.

Front Desk Systems Specialist
For over 20 years, Kari has worked in many positions in the dental office; starting as an expanded duties dental assistant, then front desk staff and eventually becoming a practice manager overseeing 8 general and specialty offices for a corporate dental organization. Through this time, because of her continual strive for excellence in herself, she also earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. This combined experience has given Kari an extensive knowledge in dental office management and has provided a well rounded basis for her consulting and training.
Kari specializes in all aspects of the front desk systems in the dental practice. Knowing the telephone is the first contact point with the new patient, she understands the importance of excellent verbal skills the front desk staff must have to ensure the acceptance of the practice by new patients. Her training focuses on strong verbal skills and all production and collection aspects of the practice; scheduling, treatment presentation and acceptance, the collection process as well as many of the other systems that are important to the success of the practice.
